PICTURE SETTING
1)I looked around, waited, waited for the precise moment when nobody was looking. The moment finally came. No sweat, trembling hands or pumping hearts. I have done it so many times, it is just a routine. I took the bottle up and put it into my jacket as if it was right to do so, and made my way through the store. I realized that someone was looking at me. That was when the adrenaline kicked in.
2)I walked into the convenient store to get a bottle of water. There was a guy paying at the counter, but it was a guy wearing a black jacket, with red hair that caught my eye. What a typical gangster these days, i half expected that he was up to no good. Indeed he was. He opened his jacket, took a bottle of drinks, and then tucked it in as if it was nobody's business. He concealed the bottle under the jacket and walked out of the shop casually. I was about to stop him, but someone was faster than me. "Stop!" someone shouted. The shoplifter ran, I gave chase instinctively.

I think a clear-cut story full of suspense is in the making. -Liang Hao
ReplyDeleteI think that the first setting is about how the thief goes through a change of heart and repents his ways as a thief. The second one, i thing it is about how you chased the thief and against all odds catch him and give him up to the police.
ReplyDeletei think both deals with thievery. The settings can come out with many storylines...
ReplyDelete1) you were dared by a person
2) you had not had something to eat or drink for a while
i believe that the story is going to be full of suspense.
I think that both stories are about shoplifting but from a different perspective. The first one is from the perspective of the thief while the second is from the perspective of the person catching the thief.
